Executive Director - Magda Skomal
has been involved in theatre since childhood. After completing her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree, majoring in education and theater at Salve Regina University, Magda furthered her theatrical studies at the Stella Adler Conservatory in NYC. After working with different educational theatre groups as well as teaching high school, Magda decided to combine her love of theatre and her desire to teach, thus forming Interactive Educational Theatre.

She is currently the Theater Director for the Teen AIDS Prevention (TAP) Program at Family Services Woodfield in Bridgeport, CT as well as the Theater Director of Inside Out, a student performing program with Stratford Community Services.

Skomal is a certified HIV/AIDS Instructor with the American Red Cross and the proud recipient of the State of Connecticut's Commissioner's AIDS Leadership Award for bringing the messages of HIV awareness and prevention to Connecticut's youth. She is also the project director for the Stop AIDS Mobile Theatre which has educated over 70,000 people in the last three years.

Magda has recently written and directed Out Of The Closet, a cabaret celebrating diversity and supporting GLBTQ communities.

 

Associate Director - Daniel John Kelly
has been performing with and developing content for Interactive Educational Theatre since it began in 1993. Daniel graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport where he studied Mathematics, Education, and Theatre.

He has performed at many theatres in the area including the Long Wharf Theatre, New Haven; the Westport Country Playhouse; the Pulse Theatre, NYC; the Miranda Theatre, NYC; Conn Repertory Theatre, Storrs; Square One Theatre, Stratford and Shakespeare on the Sound, Rowayton (for whom he is Associate Director of Educational Outreach). He has directed productions at the Curtain Call Theatre, Stamford, CT where he also teaches acting and Shakespeare.

Dan co-directed the Inside Out program for Stratford Community Services for three years with Magda Skomal. He is often asked to speak in area schools on the subjects of theatre, Shakespeare, or GLBT issues.

 

Actor - Tracy Locke
graduated from Albright College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and has studied Improvisation with Second City, Chicago City Limits,Tom Soter, Bill McLaughlin, Curtain Call Theater and The American Comedy Institute. She has performed with The NYC Improv All-Stars and other improv troupes in such venues as Caroline's, The New York Comedy Club, The Producer's Club and the Big Apple Improv Festival.

When not performing, Tracy is an artist-in-residence at Stamford's Curtain Call Theater, teaching both improv/theatre and corporate creativity seminars.

 

 

Actor - Tony Republicano

is originally from Stamford Connecticut. He is a graduate of the New York Academy of Theatrical Arts and Reed-Sweeny-Reed "The Teachers" commercial acting school, as well as many other theatrical workshops, and seminars. He has appeared in television commercials, daytime dramas, over 35 theatre productions, and in several feature films.

Tony brings over 15 years of performance and teaching experience to artist in residence programs in public and private schools throughout the tri-state area.

Tony has also instructed workshops for The New England Academy of Theatre and Curtain Call Inc. Tony has implemented many of Curtain Call's outreach programs such as: The Comedy Expansion Initiative, The Positive Impact Initiative, The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, The ACES Program, and even drama study with students for whom English is a second language.

 

 

Actor - Anthony Scire
graduated from San Diego State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Criminal Justice. He has been actively involved with Interactive Education Theatre since March of 2003 and very much enjoys creating and acting in humorous skits that bring critical messages of health and prevention to at-risk young audiences.

Anthony has performed with various improvisation troupes throughout Manhattan, such as Endangered Improv, Grown-Up's Playground, Tom Soter's Sunday Night Improv and has also trained with Chicago City Limits and Second City.

Anthony has also studied the Michael Chekhov technique of acting in Manhattan where his stage credits include, Nick in "Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf" and George in "Mulberry Street". He is currently performing as part of a professional comedy troupe out of Stamford CT.
